    public-log

Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), formerly known as Mormugao Port Trust, is one of India’s oldest and most important ports. It primarily handles iron ore exports, coal imports, liquid bulk, and general cargo, serving as a key maritime gateway for Goa and the Konkan region. The port features a natural harbor with a breakwater and multiple berths, and it plays a vital role in India’s trade network. In 2022, it was renamed under the Major Port Authorities Act, 2021, and continues to expand through PPP projects for modernization and capacity enhancement.
